Tyrone Noonan is no stranger to the rigors of the rock & roll lifestyle. As co-singer and instrumentalist for the multi-Platinum selling Australian jazz/pop/rock combo George, Tyrone enjoyed sold-out tours in Australia, the UK and Japan, performing alongside the likes of Macy Gray, Jewel and Tori Amos (the latter as solo support during Amos’ recent Australian jaunt). He’s won an ARIA Award and enjoyed a number-one selling debut, while also achieving Top 10 indie chart status with the jazzy combo Palimpsest.
With George now on extended hiatus, Tyrone has launched his long-awaited solo career. He released the Heavy Soul, Part One EP in September 2006 and has since performed the songs to wildly enthusiastic audiences across Australia. He’s recently enlisted the aid of Prince protégé Paul Peterson, a.k.a. “St. Paul,” who will be producing Tyrone’s debut full-length in Minneapolis, MN.
