It's been awhile since I've been to a concert because I tend to avoid crowds, but the Secondhand Serenade concert was definitely a great start to re-spark my love for live concerts. I can only imagine what goes through artists' heads when they start singing one of their songs and their fans voices drown out their singing. That's exactly what happened to John of Secondhand Serenade at the House of Blues in Anaheim when he started singing his popular hit, "Fall For You". I couldn't help the goosebumps and smiles when I saw his teenage fans singing at the top of their lungs from the photo pit. I looked up and was surprised to see adults on the second floor singing right along with the high school crowd.

Secondhand Serenade did a mix of songs from both the old and new album. A Twist In My Story is a new chapter for Secondhand Serenade, taking you through the highs and lows of love and life. John Vesely is a modern day storyteller following a path all to his own while putting a new twist on his timeless tale. The album is worth the listen--you won't be disappointed. There is something for everyone on this latest album.

In addition to John Vesely headlining performance, I found opening acts Evan Taubenfield, Parachute and The Rust equally entertaining. My favorite of the opening acts was definitely Evan Taubenfield. Evan Taubenfield, well known for his days sharing the stage with Avril Lavigne, started his set by walking off the stage after coaching the crowd to cheer for an encore. Between songs and during songs, his music portrayed both his humorous and the heart-broken side of love. He also mentioned how his girlfriend cheated on him and soon after that he got signed with Warner Bros. (bet that girlfriend feels stupid now)!

I would definitely attend another one of their concerts. The guys were all down to earth after the concert and it was apparent that their fans were a big part of why they do what they do.
