I got a chance to see Mutemath for the second time at the New Daisy Theater in Memphis, TN, and I was just as impressed as the first. Before beginning, drummer Darren King uses duct tape to attach his headphones directly to his head. When that happens, you know it's about to get intense. Mutemath is one of those bands that not only sound impecable when you see them live, but they put on an extremely entertaining show. From standing on their instruments to showcasing their various talents by trading instruments, Mutemath definitely succeeds in keeping you interested.

Images of old 40's movies are played in the background while the band thrashes sirenlike sounds. The show is over, and of course there is a much awaited encore. Nowadays, with the music industry changing in ways that nobody expected, live shows are imperative to a band's survival. The creativity attributed to the production of their show is notable. If Mutemath comes to your town, be sure to check them out, you won't be disappointed.
