At 20 years old, James Thomas Shaheen III of Memphis, Tn, has undertaken a pre-destined life long career in music. Through his charismatic live performance, to his catchy sing-along melodies, James Thomas has clearly captivated the eager ears of listeners, and started a movement that has spread like wildfire.

"I don't write songs; songs yield a short lived acquaintance, I create an experience, whatever that experience may produce."
Its his overall outlook on music that makes him an inspiration; and moreover a face of a new age in musical progression.

Born in Paducah, Ky, JT's desire to create and communicate became apparent at a very early age. Starting out on the drums, his musical journey snowballed through the years. At 16 he found himself very involved with his local metal project called, Inches From Eden out of Memphis, Tn.

"It wasn't till genuine sacrifice had to be made that I really took the idea of a professional music career seriously. Touring at such an early age really made me validate some of my potential."

The projects style was the only thing standing in the way of JT truly giving his all. Like any other high-school project IFE took a back seat when JT left for college. It wasn't til then that he really started flirting with the idea turning his focus to his songwriting capabilities.

"There's just a dead end with metal, it only caters to one specific type of ear and dis-regards the rest, I've always known that an effective message is best received when it caters to every ear."

This philosophy has been the driving force of his movement and had made it that much easier to jump on the James Thomas band wagon.

"I just want to make it as easy as possible to feel like a part of my music, my message. The world is changing, every aspect of our lives are changing, life stays in motion, but even if it's just for one song, a new generation of artists are here to set the scene, and take the lead in this new era of individual thought."
