Ill Conceived has a mission and the mission is simple... to make fans lose their minds and move their asses. Ill Conceived was formed in January of 2005 when guitarist Jon Foss and vocalist Josh Lambert wanted to start a metal band. Foss, previously from the band Soul Forge, approached Lambert with material he had recorded and Lambert was blown away by what he heard. Lambert, previously from the band Sterile Eyes, was still working with his current band at the time and soon lost interest in that failing project. Soon there after, Lambert left Sterile Eyes and Ill Conceived was born.

For the next year or so, Foss and Lambert embarked on a journey to find the perfect drummer to accent their relentless sound. After numerous drummers trying out, they stumbled upon Josh Alves. Alves, previously from the bands S.A.C, Skinned, All Light is Gone, The Mutiny, Believing in Sin, Project Redemption, and Please Die, brought the sound Foss and Lambert had been searching for. Travis Frank, also previously from Sterile Eyes, received a call from Lambert and immediately joined forces will Ill Conceived upon hearing the music. In February of 2007 the four members of Ill Conceived entered Proline Studios in Mission Viejo CA and started working on their untitled 6 song EP with producer Alex Barnett. All members of Ill Conceived credit Barnett as being an amazing producer who helped them acquire the sound they had desired. Throughout 2007, Ill Conceived went through several rhythm guitarists until finding Derek Pirre. After Pirre's first tryout, he became the final piece to complete the puzzle.

Ill Conceived has had the honor of sharing the stage with such bands as Skin Lab, God Forbid, Temple of Brutality, and Vicious Rumors to name a few. The members of Ill Conceived now look forward to putting their music out there for the world to hear.
