Interview with Teddy Geiger...…

Why don't we start with you guys introducing yourselves.

My name is Teddy Geiger and I am an artist on Columbia Records.

How would you describe your music?

Mostly Pop/Rock. I often write stuff in different genres but It it all has a common thread.

You gained a lot of exposure from the VH1 show, what made you audition for the Partridge Family Remake?

My mom, I initially thought it was cheesy but I realized it would be good to see some of that world. I look back and I'm glad I took the opportunity...Thanks Mom.

Is acting something you want to pursue more in the future?

I definitely am pursuing more acting, I'm actually filming on the set of Love Monkey right now, the show is on CBS and it will air for the first time January 17th.

People are comparing you to John Mayer and Chris Martin? How do you react to that? Does that make you nervous at all especially since your album hasn't been released yet?

It's great to be compared to such great artists, I only hope my career can compare to what they've accomplished... It doesn't really make me nervous, I'm gonna do all I can do and hope for the best.

What music is in your ipod right now?

hmm... Weezer, Postal Service, Ben Kweller, Sia.....

Your album, "Underage Thinking" will be released in 2006. How involved were you in the writing process? How would you describe your album as a whole?

The release date as of right now is February 28st. The album is a collection of semi-autobiographical songs. I wrote and demo-ed the majority of the songs in my basement, and the rest I cowrote.

We saw you recently on MTV's Seventeen show. What did you really think when they did your hair like that?

"umm..........alright"

Describe a normal day with Teddy Geiger on tour.

Wake up, go to venue, rehearse, play time, rehearse, dinner, show, play time, sleep.

What has been your most memorable performance so far and why?

One of my favorite performances was at the mercury lounge, it was my first New York City show, and it was just a lot of fun.

What can we find you doing during your free time?

You'll find me playing music a lot haha. Other than that, just hanging out with my friends and family, maybe making some crepes-- who knows.
