Spotlight: Solarcade
Solarcade formed in Los Angeles in early 2001 after drummer Heath Cooley found guitarist Pomilla in a local music magazine. The two quickly teamed up and found bassist John Hill the together began the search for the right blend of vocals.

The trio then found and brought aboard the unique vocal talents of Paul Van. Developing genuine friendships in the process the band then created an undeniable chemistry together.

Each band member contributes a diverse musical background and taste which are blended together to create a style that is distictly all their own. Thus, enter Solarcade: a unique sound with honest lyrics, infectious hooks, mixing alternative rock with a strong pop foundation.

Live their songs jump into your musical subconscious, leaving you humming Solarcade melodies for weeks. Visually they produce high energy with an uncompromising need to fully entertain.

Check out bandnation.com's interview with the Pomilla from Solarcade. I personally have seen Solarcade perform live during a Radd Event up at Mountain High and they rock. I don't know how they could play their instruments in the freezing; even my fingers were falling off!

This month, Solarcade.
How did the group come together, and how would you describe you music?
Pomilla set out ads in music magazines and came across drummer Heath and then found bass player Jonathon. The 3 starting writing and came across the vocal talents of Paul Van.
Best place you have ever performed, and what made it so special?
The best place we have performed was at Children's Hospital in Hollywood in April 2002 for a large group of kids. Solarcade played the benefit for a nonprofit organization in order to raise money and awareness for terminally ill children. It was fun to see their faces light up and really enjoy the music.

Where do you see yourselves in one year?

I realistically see Solarcade either touring with some bigger bands or finishing up a full album for a record label.
