In
what ways has the band evolved since it's initial
start, musically?
We
have a much more defined sound now than when we
started.
Your
EP sold out last year, were you expecting such a
strong positive reaction to the release of it?
We
released it without any expectation and it was a
great surprise. We just wanted to have something
available to the fans.
When
can fans expect a new release from you guys? Will
you do a full-length Indie release?
We
definitely will be doing a full length release.
When that will be is undetermined as of now.
As
a band, what is something you really want to concentrate
on in 2005?
Releasing
a full length LP, and doing a national tour.
For
someone that hasn't heard Mavin's music, how would
you describe your music?
It's
an eclectic blend of rock, pop, and blues. Which
in essence is Rock 'n Roll.
Fans
can actually d/l full length songs for 99 cents
on the site, can they expect new songs to be added
on in the near future?
Yea,
we will update the songs available for downloading
regularly. In the meantime, fans can also listen
to 30 seconds of the music free to decide before
purchasing any of the music.
What
do you think inspires you guys lyrically? Are you
all a part of the writing process?
Inspiration
for lyrics comes from real life experiences that
have made an impact on us, or a story that we think
would be cool to tell in the form of a song, any
other number of things. Every member of the band
is involved in the writing of at least one song
or another.
What
message would you like to give to the bandnation.com
readers?
To
keep supporting Mavin's music. To keep checking
on the site for upcoming shows and come out and
support the shows and tell their friends. If they
dig the theme song to the new Animated Series 'American
Dragon' and the song on the soundtrack to the Lindsay
Lohan's movie 'Herbie," let it be known. If
it stops let it roll, the sound of forever is on
the road. Thanks guys.
