Check out http://www.thefader.com for an exclusive, unedited film by Colin Lane of the Strokes circa 2001 when he was documenting them in their infancy. Lane was commissioned to shoot them for The FACE in 2001 and became their unofficial official photographer and THE FADER used other photos from that FACE shoot for our feature in FADER.
The film was shot in the style of Andy Warhol's Factory screen tests with no sound. And is part of the written piece by The Fader's Eric Ducker - "Save Your City: New York Rock In The Years To Be Hated," which can be viewed here
Also... be on the lookout for the upcoming "Solid Gold" F50 issue (Available at news stands now)
