The video for Mat Kearney’s “Closer To Love”, the first single from his upcoming album City of Black & White, can now be viewed on the recently re-launched MatKearney.com. Filmed in Kearney’s hometown of Nashville, TN, the video, as Kearney explained to AOL’s Pop Eater blog, is about the “…theme of an unexpected phone call -- 'I guess we're all one phone call from our knees’. The video deals with reaching out to someone who got that call.”

The critically acclaimed singer-songwriter is set to release his new album, City of Black & White, on May 19 on Aware/Columbia Records. After spending five years traveling the country establishing himself as a new artist, Mat dug his roots into his new hometown of Nashville, TN, allowing the songs on City of Black & White to evolve from various places and sources. He opened up the writing process to friends and to the community of musicians in Nashville, and crafted songs such as “Fire and Rain,” “Here We Go,” and “Closer To Love”.

Additionally, Mat Kearney will join Keane on their U.S. tour in May, hitting major markets including Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago and New York. Full tour dates can be found below.
