"When we last toured the States it was quite royally," says Liars frontman Angus Andrew. "Interpol laid out a magic carpet ride that took us from one historic venue to another. The whole experience was a mind-blowing orgy of music and memories."
New York Times, describing the Liars' Madison Square Garden show with Interpol, said Liars "worked the Garden stage like rock stars... with Andrew strutting and gesticulating in a white suit and a big, relentless beat, Liars sounded at home as arena-rock.”
This time around, the band is looking forward to getting up close and personal with fans once again.
“We thrive on the strong visceral power of the audience. Being face to face with a crowd can sometimes make me want to eat them. I look forward to that opportunity on this tour," says Andrew. "I also am eager to play some of the songs on our new album that we’ve left wanting. In all I anticipate the whole tour being shambolic, psychotic and historic. A winter wonderland of weirdo rockers."
Liars have invited fellow LA band No Age to support them on all dates above.
Liars released their fourth album "Liars" August 28, 2007 on Mute. The album was met with immediate critical praise with Pitchfork giving the album and 8.5 ranking and calling the album "Scorched-blacktop biker music played through the art-rock filter." Additional praise quickly followed.
Word from the Press:
