The NYC artrock band, Apollo Heights will be releasing their debut
album this October 2nd on LA based indie label, Manimal Vinyl.
"White Music for Black People" consists mostly of sessions that took
place in 2006 with ex-Cocteau Twin, Robin Guthrie at the dials. The
album features appearences from Mos Def, Lady Miss Keir (Deee-Lite)
and TV on the Radio wizard, David Sitek on the hit single, "Disco
Lights".Apollo Heights consists of twin brothers, Danny and Daniel Chavis
(formerly of the North Carolina 90's shoegazer band, The Veldt) along
with NYC musicians, Honeychild Coleman and Monk Washington. The Chavis
brothers have toured with everyone from Jesus & Mary Chain to Oasis to
TV on the Radio. These brothers are still standing strong.
